A collection of both prose and poetry, Hope for the Heavy Heart: For the War-Weary and the Heaven-Bent* offers insights originally written during a very dark time in the life of the author. She put this book together in order to help her find reasons why she should carry on and not give up. It helped her move forward; it can do the same for you.
Ellen’s trials taught her that just as we had no say in how we came into the world, we need to have no say in how we leave it, that our death is a most sacred passage that needs to be left in hands of God: also the major premise of the book.
This book is being revised. It has already given birth to a new all-poetry book called, Wind in My Wings, available now. It is composed of poems originally included in Hope for the Heavy Heart as well as many new and exciting pieces. Go to the Books link to find out what prolific author, artist and radio personality, Joni Eareckson Tada, Context TV host, Lorna Dueck and others are saying about Ellen’s poetry.
*A REVISED EDITION of the prose is currently in the works.
